Every year on 10th December the world marks the International Human Rights Day, a day celebrated in commemoration of the day on which the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948.
The day is also important as it marks an end to 16 Days of Activism against gender based violence campaign that begins annually on November 25th.
