Theo Hollander
Theo is a senior researcher at the Refugee Law Project and research coordinator of the National Memory and Peace Documentation Centre, the Kitgum office of RLP. He holds a masters degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights of Utrecht University and he is currently in the last stages of his PhD research for the Centre of Conflict Studies, of Utrecht University. Hollander has specialized in issues relating to gender and conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and in Transitional Justice issues in northern Uganda. His has written a biography of a former child soldier, titled In the Service of the Lord's Army. In addition, he wrote about gender dynamics in pre-war eastern DRC, masculinities and armed conflict in the DRC, he analyzed the experiences of people with 'marked' bodies in post conflict northern Uganda and he studied the experiences of relatives of missing people in post-conflict northern Uganda.
