The Great Lakes Region of Africa has for a long time been grappling with legacies of violent conflicts. Often times the youth are at the forefront of committing atrocities because of unaddressed issues such as unemployment, marginalisation, unheard voices etc The Cross Border Dialogue and Youth Empowerment for Peace in the Great Lakes Region project is engaging six young innovators and 20 peace follows from each of the countries in peace building and leadership skills to address such issues.
