COMMENTS:	It is always with pleasure that I visit your RLP website, I mean, our. Why do I say our? I recall in 2000, January, when Dr Barbara Harell Bond was about to leave for Cairo. At that time I was working as her assistant at the Refugee Studies Program, under the MISR, Makerere Institute of Social Research. DR Barbara was anxious when thinking that she will leave Kampala and abandon those desperate refugees without any structure that will continue assisting and counseling them the way she was doing with her team. She then decided to create the Refugee Law Project. During hours, days and nights, all her team sat together to draft the proposal. I still have I mind the image of the flat that served as office, and of the long hours, days and nights Dr Barbara, Zachary Lomo, Mauro de Lorenzo, Pamela Reynel, Doreen, Elias (driver), and I, spent to make it possible. A couple of weeks later, the Refugee Law Project was born. I was already in Dar es Salaam with the TCRS. Though I was far from the RLP, I kept a close relationship with the project, first under Pamela Reynel’s management, then when my friend Zachary Lomo replaced her. In September 2002, I visited the RLP and I really appreciated the great work it was doing despite difficulties and stresses. I know how difficult is to handle refugee cases, and refugees themselves. In 2009 I got again the privilege of visiting the RLP and could find nice and devoted people like Chris Dolan, Moses, Salima and other I don’t recall names. This is to say that I am proud to be part of the team that brought the RLP to life, and will never let pass the opportunity of working for the RLP if the occasion permits it one day. From DRC, my lovely country, I do my best to assist and help I consultancy those who have committed themselves to assist refugees around the world. To the entire team of the RLP, I say Keep it up and Congratulation! You are doing a noble job!
